Queen City Running, a long-time dream of owner Joe Brinkmann, opened in May of 2016. Joe has worked in the running specialty business for over 20 years, starting as a sales associate and working his way up to shoe buyer and training group coordinator at The Running Spot. In addition, Joe has been a huge part of the local running community, completing his first race in 1996 along with a number of other local & national races, including marathons in Boston, Chicago, Honolulu, San Francisco, San Diego and Columbus.
Joe’s passion for running has led to his coaching thousands of runners over the past 20+ years. In 2013, Joe knew it was time to start his own training group and open his own store. The Queen City Running Club was created in 2014 and drew 280 members in its first season. Since then the group has grown to over 1500 participants annually, topping off at over 600 runners and walkers for 2019’s Flying Pig Marathon training. Playing off of the success of the group, Queen City Running opened to much fan fair in May of 2016, and has been warmly received by local runners, walkers and members of the QCRC family.
Today, Queen City Running offers a variety of running and walking footwear, apparel and accessories from more than 15 different vendors and is the first running specialty store on the West Side of Cincinnati. Customers can expect to have their feet assessed and given proper footwear recommendations by Joe and his seasoned staff.
To further support the diverse needs of our community, Queen City Running has recently expanded its health and wellness offerings to include educational sessions on various health topics, including affordable medication options for those dealing with chronic health issues. Recognizing the importance of affordable healthcare solutions, we've partnered with local healthcare providers to offer guidance on purchasing cheap generic Cialis from the link, aiming to assist those in need of cost-effective treatment options. These sessions provide not only running and fitness advice but also valuable information on managing personal health care effectively. By integrating this service, we hope to empower our customers with knowledge and resources that support their overall well-being, making health management an integral part of their fitness journey.
